Directions: The Highlands Mansion and Gardens is 17 miles north of Philadelphia off Route 73,
between Bethlehem and Butler Pikes, in Fort Washington, PA.

- Via PA Turnpike
- Take Exit 333/Norristown, follow signs to Plymouth Road.
- At stop sign, turn right on to Plymouth Road, follow Plymouth Road to end (approx. 3/4 mile)
- At stop light, turn left on to Butler Pike. Continue on Butler Pike to Route 73
(Broad Axe Tavern will be on your left, Ambler Borough Water Tower on your right)
- At stop light, turn right on to Route 73 (Skippack Pike).
- Sheaff Lane is approx. 1/2 mile. Turn left on to Sheaff Lane.
The Highlands entrance drive is the second drive on your left.
- From Center City
- Take Route 76 (Schuylkill Expwy) west to Route 476 (Blue Route).
- Take Plymouth Road exit (the last exit before the PA Turnpike).
- Follow signs for Plymouth Road., and turn right on to Plymouth Road. Follow directions above.
- From the Main Line
- Take 476 North to Plymouth Road Exit and follow directions above.
- From New Jersey
- Take Pennsylvania Turnpike West to Exit 339/Fort Washington. Go straight on Pennsylvania Avenue until it dead ends and make a left-hand turn onto Old Bethlehem Pike. Follow to the second traffic light and make a right-hand turn onto Route 73 West (The Bent Elbo Restaurant will be on the right). Go through the first traffic light and make a right onto Sheaff Lane which will be approximately 200 feet on the right. Entrance is the second drive on the left.
