Summer Symphony
Sunday, June 14 (Rain Date June 28)
Bring a picnic blanket to spread in the garden and enjoy lovely music performed by the Ambler Symphony. Gardens open at 5PM for picnicking; tours of the mansion are available from 5PM-6PM; silent auction items on display for bidding from 5PM-6PM. Concert by Ambler Symphony begins at 6:30PM. Adults $10 and Children (under age 13) $5. |
Golf Outing
Saturday, June 27
The Highlands 4th Annual Golf Outing will be Saturday, June 27 with the rain date Sunday, June 28. Come and enjoy an afternoon of golf on local private courses. Hors d’oeuvres and awards party to follow. Non-golfers are welcome to the after golf festivities for a small donation. Reading, Writing and Talking History Summer Enrichment for Children, grades 3-6
…..become a history explorer…..investigate primary sources like diaries, letters, buildings, artifacts and more! Turn your investigations and discoveries into writing. Join us as we explore the stories places tell and make history speak to you! Children will meet at The Highlands for three days, Hope Lodge and Peter Wentz for one. Sketching Nature with Words and Pictures Summer Enrichment for Children, grades 3-6
If you like to draw and write, this workshop is for you! Discover new ways to write about the world around you. In The Highlands garden, fields and woodland observe, sketch, become inspired and write! Let nature journaling tell the stories of where you’ve been and what you’ve seen! Summer Fun
August 3 through August 7, 2009
 An exciting day camp that makes history fun! Campers will take part in historic games played by Colonists and Native Americans. Campers will learn about nature by exploring the 44-acre historic site and the restored 1920’s greenhouse. A fieldtrip day to other local historic sites is also included. Craft projects, games and much more are in store. |
Highlands Craft Show
Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th
Artists display their crafts within the mansion and heated tent. Fabric, pottery, hand-bags, and fabric arts are just some of the crafts that will be offered for sale. Saturday, October 17th -10AM-5PM; Sunday, October 18th-10AM-4PM

Pumpkin Show
Sunday, October 25th – 7PM-9PM
  
The gardens become host to spooky and wacky carved pumpkins to celebrate Halloween. This family friendly event will bring visitors face-to-face with beautifully carved images of cartoons, political figures, celebrities and Halloween creatures. Cost for this event is $15 per car. |
Hunt Breakfast
Sunday, November 8
A memorable way to spend a fall Sunday. Follow the hunt on foot beginning at 10AM or see the riders returning from the chase at approximately 11:30AM, followed by a traditional hunt breakfast at 11:45AM. Reservations required, 215-641-2687. |
