The Highlands Historical Society will welcome The Copeland String Quartet, with a chamber music performance in the grand center hall. Premium Estate Teas from Jaya Teas, sweets and savories are served during intermission. Tickets are $20 per person for Highlands Members, $25 per person for non-members. Please call for reservations.
A Visit with Santa
Sunday, December 6, 2pm – 4pm
Join us for cheer and celebration as Santa and Mrs. Claus visit The Highlands for photo opportunities (please bring your camera), make a craft project, and a reading of that seasonal classic, The Night Before Christmas. A very special edition of The Night Before Christmas, which features Santa landing his sleigh and eight reindeer on the roof of The Highlands, will be available for purchase. Reservations are required, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. Admission fee charged, reservations recommended.

The Highlands Historical Society and The Highland Hunt jointly sponsor a tasting of local wines and beer. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served to accompany the variety of offerings from local and regional vineyards and brew-pubs. A Silent Auction of sports memorabilia, jewelry, artwork, and gift baskets will be highlighted in the center hall. Fee charged. Please call for reservations.
Community Open House
Sunday, May 15, 2pm-4pm
Come play historic games, sample ice cream made by a costumed interpreter from an original 18th-century recipe, see Canalside Retrievers demonstrate their skills, watch (or learn!) Colonial dancing. Take the History Myth-Busters quiz and go on a tour of the mansion to learn about whether some often-repeated historical “facts” turn out to be myths! Free and open to the public.
HHS Annual Meeting

An opportunity for HHS members to meet the Historical Society Board of Trustees and to hear up-to-the-minute information about current events at The Highlands.
Saturday June 18
Come celebrate in the Sinkler garden with lively music, ranging from New Orleans Jazz to contemporary favorites and jazz standards. Bring your picnic artfully arranged on tables in the lovely garden setting, enjoy signature cocktails and desserts or appetizers specially created for this event. Bring your own mask, or create one here to add an air of mystery to the evening. Please call for reservations.
