The Highlands Historical Society exists to educate our community about the history and evolution of a Pennsylvania country estate, The Highlands, from 1794 to the present. Today, The Highlands is a beautiful historic site with a late 18th-century Georgian mansion and formal gardens. The grounds of The Highlands Mansion & Gardens include over 40 acres of open space, a c.1800 barn, spring house, and a two-acre formal garden with Gothic Revival gardener’s cottage and stone battlement walls.
