NEWS & UPDATES

New Face at The Highlands

Dear Friends of The Highlands,

It is with great honor that I join an exceptional team of professionals who have dedicated their lives to preserving the history and natural beauty of the exquisite Highlands Mansion and Gardens. I am humbled by this opportunity.

Throughout the pandemic, our Board persevered to ensure that the transfer of ownership from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the Highlands Historical Society was successfully achieved. This momentous effort is tribute to the decades of tireless work and dedication of founding Board member, Ms. Katie Moulton. After the pandemic restrictions released their grasp, Dana Dorsey continued to stream revenue by conducting fantastic historic tours, and by booking weddings, family celebrations, and photoshoots. My mission as Executive Director is to continue this upward trajectory by solidifying, growing, and strengthening The Highlands mission through meaningful community connections and robust funding streams so that future generations may luxuriate in the grandeur of this magical estate.

However, we cannot achieve our goals alone. If you are interested in assisting us on our quest to preserve and protect The Highlands’ history, please join us! A few simple ways that you can help make a difference is by:

  1. Renewing your membership, or becoming a new Highlands member by clicking: https://www.highlandshistorical.org/membership

  2. Volunteering! We are seeking volunteers to help us maintain our beautiful gardens, plan/work events, and organize our archives. Fill out a Volunteer Request form here: https://www.highlandshistorical.org/volunteering

  3. Like and share our Facebook and Instagram pages

I look forward to meeting you and hearing heartwarming stories about the ways in which The Highlands touched your life. It is you, our dedicated supporters, who will make it possible for The Highlands to continue to inspire future generations of history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and lifelong learners.

See you in the garden!

Warmest Regards,

Tiffany Stahl
